Mother nature got the better of most of our trips today. The morning rain forced several of the boats to cancel/reschedule. Capt Kenny's crew is in town, fishing for two days with Shore Thing Charters. They had nothing else to do, so they waited all day for the weather to break. Sounded like they were able to make a good go of it and fish for a couple of hours. Kevin Amrstrong along with Woody, Hunter and Lou spent there day putting Captain Kenny's Okuma Trio reels to the test. Judging from the pictures they sent, it looks like the puppy drum and black drum were not shy.In the first day of their spring break adventure, the boys kept 14 puppy drum and sheepshead. They did get one of the sea monster black drums in the boat today, but broke off another. Kenny said when if it started to sprinkle he would just position his boat under the bridge so they could stay dry. Can't believe they pulled it off, but hats off to this crew and Capt Kenny. Hope mother nature is kinder to everyone tomorrow.
We just had a boat open up for Thursday if anyone is looking to go while the young anglers are out on spring break. Call or email for more info.
