Christmas Fishing Report

From all of us at Shore Thing Fishing Charters, we would like to wish you and yours and very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. We are still fishing, still catching and have boats open most days. Now, on with the fishing report...
Was able to get out Saturday and Sunday this week and found fish both days. Decided both days to fish in close and work the bridges and reefs. Saturday, took the outlaws/in-laws out for an afternoon trip. Had my two brother in laws, Russell Mayberry from Austin TX by way of England. My other brother in law, Joel Lee is a local boy. Pretty cool start to the day. Got to meet one of History Channels Swamp People, Jacob Landry at Kent and Sues gas station in Lakeshore. Very nice guy, we even invited him to come fishing, but he had work to do.
Took the boys to the reefs and bridges with dead shrimp on the bottom rigs. Water was rolling with the tide, but we still caught some huge sheepshead and some puppy drum. Weather was very nice and just a good day with some family.
Sunday had the Eastman crew back for a near shore experience. Perry, Micheal and Micheals girlfriend Jessica had to leave early to make an evening get together. The Eastmans wanted to learn a few new spots close to their vacation home in Pass Christian, to take their friends and family out on cold/rougher days in their boat. Christmas came early for us when we discovered the World Famous Bay Marina had live shrimp! Did not take long to get to the bridges and get on the fish. The water was barely moving but the fish were very hungry. Only took 3 hours to fill the fish box with 26 big sheepshead, 1 puppy drum and 1 flounder. Was pretty much an every cast bite if you could get the bait theiving sheepshead to stay buttoned on the hook. Always a good time with the Eastman crew.
