Still making it do what it do. We have run 11 trips since Monday. To much info, and too worn out to recap every detail. We can tell you the redfishing in the LA marsh has been pretty darn good. The shrimp, pogies, rain minnows, mullet and crabs are keeping the reds fat and happy. Have had to deal with very high water, and flooded marsh. Trick seems to be getting to the back of ponds and or finding the shallowest water you find. Still tipping the new Matrix Vortex shad with shrimp under the Boat Monkey popping corks. The Strike King Red Fish Magic spinner baits have been getting their fair share of reds too. Got the new Safina series from Okuma as well. Very well priced and so far so good. We have been punishing them the last couple weeks.
The big bulls have been mixed in with the school trout. The school trout have been thick thick, just on the smaller side. Most days we are having to pick through the smaller fish to get a mess. Lotta action, just plenty of throw backs. The big surprise of the month has been the wide freakin open triple tail bite. Capt Kenny's crew got a 21 pounder on Tuesday! We are fairly sure they will be gone any day now with the cooler weather coming, but enjoying the heck out of it now. Putting up a pile of pics here and on our site, check em out...
