Tons of Pictures!!!! Week at Cat Island and Big week on Trout in the Marsh!!!!

Where to begin, what a great week we have had. The trout fishing has been good in the marsh, and Kenny an I spent 5 DAYS out at the Cat Island House!!! I'm sure I am gonna miss a few details, but got the pictures to help fill in the details, and here we go...
Monday we headed across to island with Bill Cash and the boys from Encompass. We do a lot of corporate functions out at the island house, but most of these companies revolve around Yamaha, Crown Royal, Okuma and Budweiser... This was an honest to God corporate function. We would fish for about 2 hours in the morning and they would have meetings and conference calls. Capt Kenny an I had to find stuff to do for the 6 to hours these guys had their pow wow sessions. We covered about half the islands beaches looking for treasure. Got to say it was the coolest trip I have ever had out there. Found boat loads of driftwood for  the wives. Even came across a 4 foot king snake. Brought him back to the house to help with any uninvited guests. On our short fishing excursions we fished around.: Cat Island, Ship Island, the MS Sound and even made a few quick jaunts to the LA Marsh. Weather nice all week, and flat calm most mornings. Capt Kenny's boat usually started out on the top water trout action, my crews really enjoyed the red fishing in shallow water. Since the reds were tailing or had their backs out of the water, it made it easy for them to zing the boat monkey corks at them. We tipped most of the MaTrix soft plastics with dead shrimp in the murky water.
Chef Frank"The Reel Deal"McNeil kept the food coming. Steaks, boiled shrimp, fried oysters, fish, gumbo and étouffée along with all the fixings and desert kept us fat and happy. I know the raccoons enjoyed our stay, they were literally eating out of our hands by the end of the trip.

Since we did not get spend a whole bunch of our trip fishing, Capt Alex, Matt, Tom and Darren did a number on the specks, reds and sheepshead in our absence. They were texting us pictures the entire time of some very nice trout and full dock shots. I know they had a couple of days in the 40's on trout and good sized ones too. The bull reds kept em on their toes S well. Alex had a crew that only wanted sheepshead earlier in the week. Pretty sure he had to cut them off because his fish box was reaching maximum density. He even had enough free time to bring one crew by for lunch at the island house.
