PHOTOS of cute girls in BIKINIS holding fish!!!!!

This past weekend, the boats finally dialed in some really nice trout. I know the crews Capt Kenny, Tom, Darren, Brett and Jimmy Ray brought in some hawg legs. I had Allen Williams and the boys. We stayed inside the marsh, found some school trout, but not the size of the other crews. All the boats did well on the reds, but the majority of them were the big bulls. We got in on that action, and found a few smaller ones for the grill. Our gold star came when we rolled up on a triple tail in open water. We were in chocolate brown water way to the west. Hope this is a sign of things to come! Lil guy was 16inches and got the tag and release. Capt Kenny saw one in open water a few days ago also.

Capt Matt and Capt Kenny had their work cut out for them earlier in the week at the Cat Island House. Will Cox and the boys certainly earned a medal for bravery. They were booked and wanted to make a go of it. The made the best of a bad weather situation and did great, all things considered. They did yank several reds, some trout and flounder out of the leeward banks on the island. Since Chef Frank was out there with them, I know everyone stayed Fat and Happy.
The rest of the fleet was stuck on land watching the wind blow until Wednesday, and this is where it gets REALLY REALLY GOOD!!!

Every few years we get treated to fishing with the great Jon Phillips. Jon writes for numerous publications, and takes some amazing photos when he comes with us. Mr Phillips also insists on fishing with beautiful young ladies to photograph. Since customer service is our top priority, we called in a few favors. The dynamic duo of Kelly and Meaghan joined me, Jon, and Mike Jones(MS Tourism) for one of the best near shore trips I have run all year.

They did not get to the dock until after lunch, but the seas were decent. We spent most of the afternoon letting the girls play with the blue crabs in Bayou Caddy. Jon was doing another story on crabbing and needed some shots. We turned a few heads in the Bayou with two young bikini clad women chasing blue crabs around the dock. Finally got the group on the water and ran into Capt Alex. He and his crew were more than happy to get photographed with the gals. Each guy got to get his photo taken with some slot reds that they caught shortly before we arrived. Heck they offered to fish next to us all afternoon, but Capt Alex just left well enough alone and let us go our own way.
Would have been fine if they joined us, the fishing was off the freaking charts. Even with the constant picture taking, we stayed hooked up all afternoon. Even with the seas building, we just stayed on anchor and in the fish. The reefs were slap loaded with puppy drum and huge sea monsters. Gotta give it to the girls, Meaghan and Kelly kept a big smile on, holding 30plus pound drum up(in bikinis). All good things must come to an end, and so did our amazing day on the water. The girls spent most of the ride in texting their friends and family pics of the big fish they caught. These pictures may get me a few nights on the couch, but it ain't like I sleep much this time of year anyway...  Enjoy
