Bull Reds, Jacks, Sharks, and couple of triple tail and trout. Check out the new pink spinning reel!!!

Boats have running almost every single day. Still having to hunt for the trout, but catching plenty of other things. The boats have been scouring the reefs, MS Sound, Chandelier Sound and Cat Island in search of the illusive sparkle trout. In between stalks, we have been putting the customers on plenty of bull reds, black drum, sheepshead, flounder, and slot reds. Those looking to pick a fight with something bigger, have been opting do battle with the big jacks, and sharks. The boats have picking up a triple tail here and there, but burning plenty of fuel to find em. Big thing, is just having a game plan and sticking to it. The midday and afternoon temperatures have been just to hot to run around blind. We have been leaving as early as possible to take advantage of the cooler morning temps.
Highlight of my week came with a scheduling conflict due to a late arriving flight. I had the day off and my little girl wanted to catch a shark. We could not fish during Discovery Channels shark week, so this was our make up day. She also wanted to try out here new Hot Pink Okuma 30 Trio spinning reel. Third cast of the morning found here locked into a huge Jack Crevalle. Mrs Capt Schindler converted on the double and we were able to get both in the boat, it was quite an ordeal. Shortly after that we hooked a monster bull shark, that the wife fought like a champ. Just as we were getting ready to hoist it over the side for some pictures, a good buddy of mine rolled up. Shore Thing Charters founder, Capt Mike Thompson pulled up with his two sons and there friends Ronnie and Aiden Vanney. Somehow got all the kids in my boat for the picture and they all got one turn to pet the bull shark before we released it. Was this the safest thing in the world to do? Absolutely not, but have you ever taken a picture of your kids best day playing video games?....
With the young guns back in school and hunting seasons getting close, we have boat(s) open almost every day. Give us a ring or shoot us an email if you wanna go have some fun on the water.
