Having a great week at the office

For the most part, the fishing has gotten better. The school trout bite in the LA Marsh has picked up, the big reds are keeping the customers busy, and we are seeing a few triple tail.
We have have been entertaining corporate groups a lot this past week. The 5 boat trip with First Heritage from RIDGELAND, MS was a booming success. Captains Matt, Kenny, Tom, Ray and Darren put on quite a show. The dock was covered in specks/whites, along with slot and bull reds. They said they had to move a little, but the bites were steady on the Boat Monkey Popping Corks over the Matrix Shads. Shrimp Creole has been the go to color. Most of the guides have been using heavy leaders(30-40lb test) to handle the bull reds.
Capt Tom came in with a nice mess of trout and reds with Mr Milton Weems. They spent a long time on the ride home looking for triple tail. Worked out nice for them judging from the pics. Capt Tom said they missed a huge one too.
Capt Kenny and myself had two last minute cancel/reschedule earlier in the week. All dressed and no where to go, we hopped in his boat for a quick morning bite. I was taking notes, because Capt Kenny put on quite a clinic. Fishing oyster reefs, with Carolina rigged shrimp, we put a box of huge trout together quick.
Got to fish Hancock County Ward 2 Councilwoman Mrs Wendy McDonald this week as well. Her Husband Henry and daughter Amy put a hurtin on the big bull reds. Caught Mr Henry his biggest fish ever, and even nabbed a good triple tail on the way home. Have known this family since day care days, it was a real treat, good folks.
The weather has certainly dictated where we can fish. Just have to play it extra careful. Good news is that the fishing on the reefs and shorelines in MS Waters has been steady. Plenty of variety too: trout, reds, flounder, drum, jacks and bulls.
